Delete your account

We’re sorry to see you go. Here is how to delete your Rather account and what happens to your data.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Rather and tap the person icon on Today to open Account.
  2. Tap Delete account (under “Account”, below “Sign out”).
  3. Enter the code we email you to confirm.

This cannot be undone.

What is deleted

When you delete your account:

  • Your account is removed from our servers: your email address, username, Terms acceptance, Rather More status and sign-in sessions.
  • Your solved puzzles, your streak and your stats summary are removed.
  • Your friendships, the invites you made and your blocks are removed. Your friends no longer see you.
  • Reports you made or that were made about you stay, without your account, until 12 months after they were made.
  • The copy kept on that device is erased.
  • Your username becomes free again, unless we reset it: a reset username stays blocked.
  • Your Brevo contact (for the welcome and trial-ending emails) is deleted. Brevo’s logs of our emails to you (delivered, opened, links clicked) go after 1 month.

Analytics data (Google Analytics for Firebase, kept up to 14 months) and crash data (Crashlytics, kept 90 days) are not deleted with the account. Email us and we will delete them on request. See the Privacy Policy.

If you subscribe to Rather More

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it first, in the store’s subscription settings, or you may be charged again:

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Subscription records held by the stores and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, are not removed by deleting your account in the app; they are kept as long as needed for accounting. Email us to have them deleted where the law allows.

You can also ask us to delete your account by email to hello@stojanovventures.com, from the address on your account; we confirm and delete it within one month.
